Wow 😳
( what dump was that stored at ? )
The dump where they try to create fake 1807 halves evidently. Perhaps the dumpy condition of the slab might be intentional similar to how counterfeits are purposefully roughed up and made dirty to try and appear more genuine?
The listing is still up, I wonder how many times it has to be reported for a human to be called to investigate.
I reported this as well and mentioned that DLRC has an active listing for the real one. Knowing eBay they will probably respond and say that an agent reviewed it and didn’t find it to be in violation.
There's enough data in there that likely says to eBay that MD has already reported this and we said it was OK. Stripping the tracking data makes them take a new look.

On a side note, recd. an e-mail from eBay stating that they are not accepting Amex cards anymore and need to use it through Paypal etc.
Personally, found that Amex was the best defence against such fraudulent transactions and they would have to scramble to avoid taking a hit.
Not bought anything on fleabay in quite a while and hoping to keep it that way.

If you’re hoping to keep it that way, your chances of success are excellent unless you lose your self control.😉

I reported a bunch of raw coins advertised as PCGS coin for misleading title and search manipulation. You guessed it. AI determined the listing was fine in every case.
They're running on auto pilot largely now with none of their customer service people actually empowered to take real actions; I'm curious who is really in charge there.

A couple of years ago I bought a very expensive piece on eBay ($7-8k) and was sent a weighted empty package. AMEX was able to get resolved quickly, after attempts to straighten it out through the eBay system by myself went absolutely nowhere
I am disgusted by them. Especially when I see ads for eBay that lie and say that everything is checked by experts!

LOL.
Probably go back and try a hand at selling because I have not done that.

Yikes
Link to listing for others who’d like to report it, please?

@Manifest_Destiny - you can (and for several reasons should) trim everything from the ? to the end when you post links...

It looks like the people in charge at eBay have completely abdicated any oversight and leave everything to the algorithms.
I see more red flags than a Chinese military parade.
It is perplexing why eBay didn't either.

Thank you. Reported and message sent to seller earlier.

I've gotten several of those AI responses, followed up by the listing going down < 24h later and a different email.
I think the AI is the 1st line and some of them get filtered to a human who maybe reads the message.

They make money by selling coins, not by removing coins. They don't care if it's real or fake!

I’ve never had any success with getting a fake removed via the initial email response even when an actual person at eBay has reviewed the listing.
I reported a bunch of raw coins advertised as PCGS coin for misleading title and search manipulation. You guessed it. AI determined the listing was fine in every case.
It appears that eBay did end up removing the listing.

The artificial is right, but the intelligence is nowhere to be found.
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
This is troubling. I’m troubled by this.
