I think he’s still a little rusty with the change after being on the IL until recently. Hope he can sort it out.
makes sense. i did notice that he hadn't pitched much this season, but that was quickly overshadowed by how dominant he's been for years. i'm sure he'll be fine in due time, maybe even as soon as his next outing, but what he did tonight was shocking
this dude was as cool as the other side of the pillow. i'm such a sad state of affairs that I had to ask a little kid who he was while he was signing my ball

he got a big hit in last night's game
time to get a Jose Fermin rookie card!
Something about getting an auto at a game brings back memories of what never happened for me at a MLB game

Love it!
I actually brought a bunch of different Sox rookies once to A BOS/NYY game back around 98-00 hoping to land a few autos especially Nomar's. I came close to getting his but I wasn't going to be the guy pushing a handful of kids out of the way and missed out on his auto. I did get Jason Varitek's '92 Topps Traded Gold Team USA RC signed which was cool. I also came home with a Bernie Williams batting practice ball too. Sox won, so overall it was a pretty good day.

That's awesome!
And glad you were not that crazed adult type elbowing kids out of the way to grab an auto lol
Thanks for going the distance and sharing those images…I just assumed Walker Cooper and Lon Warneke were in the Cardinals HOF and if not… seems someone within the organization has some explaining to do. And this is from a die hard Cubs family that appreciates talent when we see it.

last night i went jogging around the arch (it's actually a national park) and took these. in the top pic i was laying directly underneath it.

for those in the audience, i hope i provided some entertainment
on a serious note, this trip was obviously sports-related, but its significance ran much deeper. i come from a tiny family, but my folks are still alive & kickin and i'm beyond grateful for that the moment i open my eyes every morning. when someone asks me how i'm doing, i always reply with "blessed beyond what i probably deserve," and that's one very conspicuous reason why. i know some of you have mentioned that you really miss your fathers, and if i had the power to change that for you i most certainly would. but life is fleeting and unpredictable. i lost my one and only sibling over 40 years ago, and i just found out today that one of my college roommates died. so squeeze as much out of the orange as you possibly can with those currently in your life. don't let a single day go by without letting them know how much you appreciate them.
my dad doesn't like the direction his team is taking. outside of the covid season, the attendance at the games we attended was the lowest in the history of Busch III. he wants the manager and GM out. BUT, taking 2 of 3 from the division leader made for a great trip, so it was time for an indelible moment.
