I (re)started a US Circ Eye Appeal Box of 20

About 15 years ago I attended my first ANa and bought one coin, a gorgeous electric blue toned 1838 Seated Quarter. I sold the coin 5 years later to a dealer friend, a sale which started a Seated Quarter set for him.

Fast forward to this years ANA, and I speak with this dealer to learn that he consigned his set to another dealer for sale. I hurry to the table and there is my old 1838. I pay the exceptionally high price for the exceptional coin and add it to my now set of 2 outstanding circ coins which will become a box of 20 adventure.

I had been in this adventure before and sold the set. I hope over time to find coins of their equal.

The current set of 2:

What a great start. I would try to track down that 45-D or Reeded Edge while you're at it!

Thanks! It was a gift to me on my 40th birthday by my stepfather. It had been in his family for many years and came into the jewelry shop of his grandfather in Chicago so that one holds an extra special place in my collection

Some very nice acquisitions, both past and present. Here are a few circ toned SLQs from my collection, that I think anyone can appreciate. (Not all have that quality.) I hope these photos are welcome, I don't mean to derail your thread.

Beautiful coins, Brian. Especially that $10 1907 Indian. Having a Box of 20 to work on outside of your specialty set is a great project. I do this myself.
Good luck. Maybe add a token or medal to the box?

Lovely circulated pieces. I hope you keep us updated as the box progresses.
