Cuba 1 Centavo 1938

Dear collecors and coin enthusiasts,
today I found a Cuban Centavo from 1938 in a mixed coin lot.
I could not find any recent recorded sales online. Could you please help me to determine the value of this coin?
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Göttinger

Looks like a $1.40 for a non-problem coin in VF.

  • Thank you for your support.
The prices listed on numista, ucoin and co are often not very accurate, especially if a certain coin type is rarely sold on ebay.
That's why I am searching for additional sources since there were not many public offers online over the past few months.

Coins in that price range have a wholesale value based on coins per pound in a mixed lot of foreign. The problem with coins with retail values in the $1.50 range is that selling costs exceed the amount they will bring. The $1.50 price is based on a service charge for bothering to handle such low price material.

    All glory is fleeting.

You will not find these coins on eBay, because eBay has a policy of implementing a blanket ban on selling all coins from Cuba - the word "Cuba" is auto-blocked from all attempted listings.
