I need an opinion on above coin. Is this a die cast error?

    Welcome to the forum. Never heard of a die cast error, could it be some kind of foreign substance on the coin?

    It is something clear on the coin.
    Soak it in acetone for about 24 hours and see if it comes off.

    I thought so as well with stain, but metal areas affected are different thicknesses....

    Moreover, as first thought, there are no foreign substances on coin.

    It looks like glue to me.

    Maybe heat damage from Le Bic'.

    I too feel that an acetone bath will remove the stain or glue residue.
