In Florida it’s 6% , so I’m drawn more towards bullion which is not taxed.

Coins , currency and bullion items are not taxed in Nebraska. Not to worry, we make it up on the property tax.

    From my above link:

"Sales of gold, silver, and platinum bullion are exempt if the
sales price exceeds $500 in a single transaction. A single
transaction could include a combination of gold, silver, or
    platinum bullion."

PM rounds and bars are bullion.

Where do you live? There are four states and two US territories that are commonwealths.

North Carolina is exempt on Coins, Currency and Bullion. That wasn’t always the case. I think they made it exempt around the year 2017?

would welcome an exemption on dollars.
