Last one. Yeah, the photos leave a lot to be desired, I know. They're the sellers, as I neglected to take my own photos before packing and shipping. In any case, figured some here would not be deterred from sharing opinions
Expecting the coins back early next week and will update all three posts. Here are the Coin #1 and Coin #2 threads, in case you missed them and want to vote and/or weigh in.

Not deep enough mirrors for DMPL.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Better graded as PL; OK with 60.

No, it looks to beat up to me, jmo
60 looks right but the photo suggests the mirrors aren’t deep enough
Im good with the 60. But the pictures, especially on the reverse, dont show dmpl mirrors.
Agree hard to tell what the mirrors look like from the pics........ Also, CAC is very tough on these.
Same as everyone else..dmpl issues.

I'm gonna take the under on this. I've seen worse in CAC DMPL and I think JA actually swings quite a bit on these. The marks will also help a bit.
Coin Photographer.
As others stated, it's a 60 but too hard to tell if the mirrors are sufficient.
Would leave as is blow out in online auction invest in something else / preferably 64 or higher.
Result: CAC Green
I picked this Morgan off eBay (from the seller photos in the OP) because I thought the 60 grade in an OGH was a good CAC candidate, but I have no experience w/PL or DMPL Morgans so it was kind of a crap shoot, and I voted it'd fail.
1881-O Morgan DMPL Pop is now 161, with 92% of those being MS63 & 64s. If you're looking for a lowball CAC'd '81-O DMPL, this is your coin (lol), although I'll probably keep it as a reference coin for the DMPL designation.
The forum was strongly against this one, voting 78% to 22% for failure (myself included)—like several comments, I wasn't sure the reverse was all there for the DMPL designation. Nice work @FlyingAl and others on calling this one.
Worth nothing that my photos below do look stronger for a DMPL than the OP photos, but I still had doubts after seeing the coin in-hand as I know CAC is very strict on the PL/DMPL designations.

Congrats! That's why mirrors are so tough to judge from pictures. I would have voted for CAC had you posted the new picture instead.
I regretted not taking my own photos before I shipped it out (only realized after), but figured it'd still be an interesting forum poll, as the OP photos were the ones I bought the coin from.

Tons more contrast in the new photos. Nice call 22%ers.
Interesting thread!
And an excellent illustration of the vagaries of grading coins (especially based only on photos, which is the only way many of us ever get to see the coins we buy).
