My first Nugget, it is 6.2 grams. Picked it up at my local Coin & Jewelry buyer.
The only thing I wish to know is how to tell what part of the earth it is. It could be from Alaska, California, or even Australian. Still a cool addition to the collection.

If you take an XRF analysis of it, you should be able to tell where it's from based on trace metals in the assay. Cool pickup!

Cool....I hope to have a nice nugget one day...not a McDonald's nugget either, but a nice gold one.

One the size of a McNugget would be nice 😊
I bought this one at a "pan for gold" shop in Dahlonega years ago.
That's pretty cool. I've never seen one in person.

Ok, is it the size of the 17.9mm Mercury Dime or the 34mm $20 gold? Regardless, nice pickup.

That's a tenth ounce AGE which is about the size of a dime.

Kinda attractive piece of earth's bounty.

when I saw the title of your thread, I thought maybe you were the guy who lifted the nugget from the Long Beach show. However, I note yours is far smaller. LOL
I used a shrink ray similar to the movie “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” to cover my tracks.
Can't go wrong with the yellow metal. Nice .
Knowing the carat number would help in narrowing it down. Do a specific gravity test on it (just google). Australian nuggets are the most pure on earth. Alaskan not far behind and then CA and others are lagging.

Picked this one up 6 years ago at ANA......
I'd like to point out that if you used a growth ray it would cover your tracks AND treble your value.

Awesome 10.2 gram nugget! The shop I went to had a 10 gram nugget as well but it was out of my budget.
