I’ve gone a good while with work and life keeping me busy hasn’t left me with much time to invest in coins, if any the past year or so . But I see the market has gone up a fair amount. What’s changed ? Market trends?
What did I miss, anything spectacular happen in the coin world lately ?

Wish everyone well.

$ 29.46 as of this post. When you bring up the previous page ( the one that lists all the individual forum topics ) scroll down near the bottom of the page. It lists Gold, Silver and PCGS 3000 price.

It's plenty easy to research and follow price movements. "Spiking" is a relative term - silver was over $32/oz. last month

I’m confused as to your snarky remark. Did someone piss in your coffee this morning ? I understand how to get on the internet and research p.m pricing and relative trends. I was simply replying to a comment.

In answer to your question about my coffee - not that I'm aware of.

Your posts, such as "Silver gone up has it ?" and "Seems to be spiking it sounds like ." gave me the impression that you weren't following the price of silver. And I was simply replying to your comments.

I don't think most people would notice the addition to their coffee.

I know a widow of a coin dealer. She's been holding some bullion for 5 years since he died. Every now and then, she'll ask what silver is doing. If I say, went down $1 this week, she'll say something like "I should have sold". Then I remind her that it was $15 when he died. People have a tendency to be very short-sighted on market moves.

Same old. Stuff comes into a coin shop, then goes in for grading, then it gets flipped in the market. Lather , rinse, repeat.

The coin market always seems to do better when the precious metals markets are hot. That seems to be the case now.

How long will it last? Don't ask me, but I do know that it won't last forever. I've been through a number of these times during 65 years as a collector.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Higher bullion prices main factor IMO.
