How does Coin Facts update its pricing and auction results?

I was checking out a better date Walker in MS63 and looked on Coinfacts to try to find current auction records. There is little data entered in the last couple of years, while HA has current records: https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/1934-d-50c/6593
Why is this?

Perhaps Heritage is more motivated to providing currrent and updated information whereas Coinfacts, not so much?

Lately, I’ve noticed this a lot where comps from the last several years at HA or SB are not showing in CoinFacts. No clue what the formula is for when an APR is shared or when it’s not.

I can base the following on nothing other than speculation.
I have noticed this sometimes also. For this particular one (1934 D walker) and looking also at MS64 and 65 using other sources it appears the last time this data base was updated was around June/July 2023. Below are screen shots of the coinfacts page (MS 63 to 65) and then the APR page sorted on MS 63 to 65.

I notice the most recent entry is June 2023. When looking at the other sources I see a Legend result for NGC missing from June 2023 for MS 65 and the next one Nov 2023 at Heritage. MS 64 is missing a Sept 2023 from HA (also see an ANACS at HA in July 2023 website that does not show on other source). Then the OP grade of MS 63 is missing the next Dec 2023 at Heritage (a year between sale of the MS 63 and why it could look like longer time period).

Seeing this information elsewhere indicates that it is available - My speculation is that the PCGS APRs for this date and grades have not been updated since around June 2023.
(Maybe it will be a yearly thing and an update is soon to happen )

PS - The MS 66 latest is July 2023 but there are multiple results after that starting with Heritage in Sept 2023 (similar to the MS 63 to 65 above).
The MS 66+ from Heritage in Nov 2023 is listed and I believe the latest for that grade (maybe).

I found a little more time and searched a couple other Walker dates and noticed a similar thing. But it appeared to be more oriented around Jan 2024 as the latest update.

I then spot checked a couple Morgans, Peace, Mercury.... and again noticed that around Jan 2024 was the most recent auction record (in general).

So is this a glitch in the system? That is for some reason the auction records are not showing up after this?
Any more recent auction records seen?

So PCGS has started to do some updates in the last couple weeks on some of the APR's. For now I only see Heritage updates up to May 2024. Stacks is still showing last update about a year ago (Aug 2023).

A friend talked to PCGS rep and the hope is it will get better. I don't want to try and pass on the message 3rd hand but had to do with a change in the system loading.

Thanks, I noticed that recently as well, though for the coins I was checking, most of the results posted for 2024 were eBay sales. When I removed the eBay results, it was back to showing sparse results from the other auction houses, for mid-2023 and earlier.
Sounds like it’s being addressed now.

Too bad there are not similar systems for Anacs coins or Icg auction results. They both have some top numismatists and have tried to tighten their grading.

Another recent update to the pcgs auction prices realized for Heritage through the Sept 2024 Long Beach. Ebay also appears updated if you include that. However, not seeing updates on Stacks (Aug 2023). Other smaller auctions like Scotsman, DLRC, Downey... also don't appear to have been update since at least Jan 2024.
