Pattern or reproduction of some kind?

jdimmickjdimmick Posts: 9,657 ✭✭✭✭✭

Lady came in yesterday with this 1803 Copper piece similar to the design of an 1803 $5 Gold. It's struck in copper and looks to have environmental issues, but my question is could it possibly be a pattern. I found 1805 patterns similar, but not this date? Any help would be appreciated and I will pass it on... It weighs 4.9 grams

These have decent value, and yours is in better condition than most. Could be worth $200 or so.

Did a search at HA on 'Kettle' so there is some other stuff mixed in. Some note a Judd or Pollock number.
