One of the first goals I had when first collecting as a kid was to put together year sets from the civil war, WWI, and WWII. My favorite set was the 1943 set, since with the steel cent all the coins looked silver. I put together a set at a coin show as a kid, but only recently “finished” it by adding the 1943 Peace Dollar from @dcarr.
Thanks, Dan, for making such a beautiful coin to finish my set!
A while back I got a couple albums from Lighthouse when they were on sale. They are really nice quality, I like them a lot!
They are modern sets, but that means I was able to fill them pretty cheaply. Even got some rolls from the bank and hunted them with my daughter to fill these albums. Good times and good memories!
I don't do much with albums these days, but I didn't complete a page with the "short set" of Walkers in it. I ran around at Summer FUN looking for most of the coins. I ended up buying three coins that I cracked out of the slabs.
The reverse picture is better because I took the time to build it one section at a time. You can get a better view of this set if you come to Summer FUN. I will be exhibiting it there.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Beautiful proofs!
Is there an app you used to create this virtual album? I like how it looks.
Steve, you can create those inside the PCGS Registry. When you are inside your Set, you can "Create Digital Album"
Thanks! I have not really started using the PCGS registry yet, as I’m mostly a raw collector. But I will look into that for sure!
