Albums gents, raw coins only. You slab guys need not apply. π€£ π Although, some of these WERE slabbed at one point.
Another completed album to my standards and budget and put to bed. I built it around the franchise 1885. The goal was full Liberty's, consistent looking, problem free set. I'm done with this one. Not the best pictures but you get the idea.
Postem' if you gottem'.
For your viewing pleasure.

Here is one of mine. Been complete for a year + and still enjoy viewing. Album itself came from a fellow board member as unexpected gift

I really like filling old albums. Iβve got several Library of Coins albums that Iβm working on. And this old Whitman Washington Quarters album worked great for putting together a proof/SMS set of eagle-backs.
When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest....Abraham Lincoln
Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.....Mark Twain
Hereβs a few. I have more, but didnβt take pictures yet
And these are Mrs_Spudβs Barber Dimes, only the 95-O in the album isnβt an βOβ and she has the actual βOβ in an old ANACS soap bar holder.
Hereβs a close-up of her favorite toner in the album. I took this picture about 15 years ago, the coin is only a little bit more toned today. I slowed down the toning rate years ago by storing the album in a microclimate Tupperware with desiccant to keep the coins from going terminal

Man, love those albums guys!! π π

Great albums, absolutely love the old Meghrig/WayteRaymond albums. I have many that came unglued, tried to repair, but could not and sold them as was. Still have several albums, incomplete of course. Thanks for sharing some great accomplishments.

WHERE is the 1913 ?
I think you're right @rec78 What truly constitutes any complete album, with all the errors or varieties out there?

Just a circulated set.

My recently completed silver roosie album. All gems. Next up: Jeffersons. Shooting for BU this time. If anybody has a business and large Jefferson inventory, shoot me a PM and maybe we can strike a deal.
USAF veteran 1984-2005
This is the album I saved from the recycle heap at the local center. I still can't believe someone threw it away without checking. It had 26 coins in it (marked with an 'x'). I felt I needed to complete the work and honor Funke's past memory. 95-o was the last filled. I had fun picking up these from ebay for little money except a few.
Strangely, it's my only completed album. I had been completing my father's Washington quarters which are almost complete sans a 36-s. My seated quarter set is about 60% complete with an average grade of 45.
@fastfreddie - That folder has major character! π

Well, I lied. This one is slabbed.

Morgan Date set in MS63 with the 3 keys in AU. I also didn't want this set to be just the cheapest common coin for each year so I added some "excitement" by including a 78 8TF, 99(-P), and a couple of CC's in addition to the mintmark CC.
Nice job on this clear sleeve label page! π I do something very similar.

Collecting raw coins makes me happier than slabbed coins seems that way the older I get. I keep my most important coins slabbed and anything over AU as well the rest I break out and put in 2 by 2 Mylar and enjoy them much much more. I keep the labels and set them aside.
Again, not the best pictures but you get the idea.

Silver Roos. Thereβs some nice color on some of these, but itβs hard to capture with my phone. I need to get a better photography setup.
Ok, hereβs one shot that shows a bit of the color. I used one of those cheap clip on macro lenses on my phone.
Lincoln cents, 1909 to 1940, boyhood collection, started Christmas 1959, finished in 1983 with the purchase of a 1909-S-VDB to complete it.
Here's a smattering of the albums I since finished...
I'm mostly finished with a Lincoln set and have twice put together Franklin albums...

Love it! Those are some nice albums!
That framed type set is pretty cool. Iβve never seen one like that before.

WOW!! Really nice sets, folders and albums gents! π I thought this was going to be a disappointing thread. You proved me wrong. I still have faith in humanity. π€£ π ππ»

I agree! I love seeing all these albums. I have a few more that I want to share, but I want to space out my posts so that we can keep this thread alive. π
I've always wondered what the demographics is for raw coin collectors versus all the slab guys here. We're on a PCGS "slab" forum. Maybe we're the outliers here.
I'm just glad there isn't a disclaimer: "Raw Coin Collectors Need Not Apply" or I'd be out of luck. π€£ π

Ok, hereβs another. My circulated Walker short set (Iβm still working on Vol 1). The album and about half the coins were from my grandfatherβs collection which I inherited.
I have working URL now:
A few years back, I had a complete set of Liberty Seated Dimes, minus the 1873-cc no arrows.
The link shows the coins that were part of my PCGS Registry Set, which were most of the better dates. So about 40 out of the 113 coins were slabbed. They are shown here:

This album is comple but they don't make The Coin Collector Albums any more. I really like this but I have finished the series with another folder company.

I had to make my own "album" (actually a hard case) for this collection. It contains every year "Licensed-Driver" / "Chauffeur" badge issued by the state of Colorado. 1913 through 1954. 1913 is the most valuable (as are the other earlier years). But the one that took the longest to acquire was the 1933.
Really nice custom display case Dan! π Now I'll have to change the title line. π

I'm not very interested in clads but this old album went to 76 so I filled it.

Wow, those albums are beautiful. Expensive too
Love the new war nickel! Thatβs a nice one. But why is a 44-P in the 45-P slot?
Oh Sh*t!!! I'll be right back.

Damn, thanks you for that @steve_richardson! π I guess I'm dyslexic or something. They all look-a-like to me.

Much better
But seriously, that's some nice toning on that 44-P. Love it!
Not mine but a cool display cast.

I know I am late to this party but I took these books out a couple of weeks ago, then completely forgot why. Many of these Bookshelf albums for foreign types contain stoppers, but I was able to complete these three on a reasonable budget:
The commemorative pesos are sea salvage, but with lots of detail.

Always loved the look of consistent looking sets. You can really see the time and effort but into them! π π
