    Perk,

What I said was the average consumer's TV bill has decreased over the past decade, not increased. With tens of millions of consumers cutting TV/satellite programming altogether, those dollars are being reallocated to streaming services, and most people are paying less now than with a premium TV subscription, and getting more, unique programming than ever before.

Thursday night games will be on Prime Video. if you aren't already an Amazon Prime subscriber and only want it for games, you can add it for $14.99 per month.

Sunday Night games on NBC, free over-the-air. Should you not want to go that route, you can subscribe to Peacock for $7.99 per month.

Monday night football continues on ESPN. Sling TV is available at $40 a month which includes ESPN. Local channels are included in most markets, so you can watch broadcast games as well.

I would surmise $62.99 a month (the cost for the above three packages) is a heck of a lot less expensive than what you were paying for cable TV in 2004.

I can't understand how it's cheaper now than in 2004 but if you researched it then I will take your word for it

Regarding NFL, back in 2004 or 10.years ago the NFL was free unless you chose to pay for out of network games on Sundays I believe.

Either way the NFL is making plenty of money now than ever before.

I mean they survived Covid and are branching out to Europe, they got enough money coming in, I just don't want to see them pushing these other games to different networks and charging for it, but to your free market point sure their business their rules I'm free to pay or not pay I'd just rather enjoy it without paying extra for Monday, Prime Time Saturday, Thanksgiving ect.. ect.. and that's where I think it's heading.

I'm free to bitch about it all I want, you can disagree with me and that's fine too

Its not and its not even close. The cable companies are charging more and providing less channels

I just put together a $65 package that obliterates anything you could have possibly received in 2004.

I do not have time for ignorant trolls.

Average consumers tv bill has increased by 60% between 2014 and 2024. It’s quite complex to consider all of the components to this cost comparison but dollar to dollar people are paying more now. They’re also getting more now. But to say cable was $100 and YouTube tv (or whatever) is $60 isn’t quite accurate. Include the internet cost. Most of the people I know, and my family included, spend around $600/mo on all their various media packages.

The lawsuit over Sunday Ticket is ridiculous and reeks of entitlement. I’m pretty sure they can charge whatever they want for their product in this market. Fact of the matter here is the US Supreme Court has ruled, twice, that the NFL isn’t a monopoly. This was so obviously wrong in all ways. If only we could fine the jury for stupidity.

That comparison might make sense if the only thing he were watching on cable TV was the NFL. For those of us who desire access to regional sports networks, a more significant package (be it Cable, Direct TV, Hulu, etc.) is necessary.
