    Peace Dollar

I voted for the Peace Dollar. The Morgan Dollar is kind of blaw although the Denver Mint piece is the only Morgan Dollar that mint issued back in the day, which makes it somewhat special. The others a key dates I don't own, and they are of little interest to me.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Morgan Dollar

1921 Morgan PL's are my favorite because they are a challenge. Finding a nice 1921-P-D or S is a tough.
I can also understand why others don't care for them.

Gonna wander way off the reservation and say it's the Missouri half.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Since it wasn’t an option in the poll 😉 :

Edited to add: I see that @PerryHall beat me to it.

I remember when a proverbial little old lady walked into ANA Headquarters with her family and a 1921 Saint that had been given to her upon the occasion of her birth by her Uncle, who was one of the two people to serve as Superintendent of the Philadelphia Mint in that year.

Tragically, she had polished the coin repeatedly over the years.

I would bet that it was one of the few Proof Saints made that year, and it may have been why the Mint made any Proof Saints at all in 1921. Can't you just imagine the Boss man calling down to the Coiner and saying: "Hey, I need a Double Eagle to give to my new Niece. Pick me out a nice one, would you?" and the Coiner whipping up a few Proofs for him to pick from. Can't prove it, of course.

I should have asked her if he gave her any silver dollars!

    Buffalo Nickel

I voted buffalo nickels because I love the series. I also like the 21 Peace dollar with the high relief.

It wasn't an option in the poll, but my favorite is the 1921 version of the Pilgrim Silver Commemorative half dollar.

Well, why not? You would have the previously unknown discovery coin(s).

Thanks for your kind words. While i worked for decades putting together and upgrading coins in my "Type Set" as finances allowed (and as noted at the bottom in my auto signature hot link that is my pride and joy), over the last five years I've made my collection very BROAD by putting together many different sets of coins. That gives me joy too!

    Mercury Dime

I gotta go with the Merc. I found one (P) in a junk silver bucket at a jewelry store when I was around 12 and I’m still thrilled about it today.

I went with the 1921 Mercury dime because I found an AG3-G4 in change when I was 7 years old.

I don't see it in your poll but I'd pick the very rare and very expensive 1921 Saint-Gaudens $20 gold coin. I wish I could afford one especially since it's my mother's birth year.

    Beautiful, rare coin, too.

1921 D Walker. Given to me by my Mother's Aunt Louise Marcus Evenden about 1968. Dont know where she got it. It was a Gem. Sold it to Gene Henry for $1500. when that was a lot of money, about 1975.
