What are the 1-2 best coins you picked up so far in 2024?
These 2 for me:
1733 Mexico MO MF 1 real Took me 2 years to find a numerical grade with only 2 graded higher by NGC. The are various varieties of the 2nd year 1733 milled 1 reales and so far I own the 2 most ''common'' ones. Can't imagine how long it will take to find the 3rd rarest one or the others after that....maybe never.
1752 Peru1 real with a mintage of only 424 and about 10-20 still exist...1753 onward mintages are 50 000 or more. The 1st year 1751 is considered extremely rare with 1-2 known. A high percentage of Latin American (Mexico been the exception) lower denominations from of this period have holes in them people would put them on ropes not to lose them in the jungle while walking.
Coin collecting interests: Latin American early pillar 1 reales
Sports: NFL & NHL

My favorite so far in 2024 is this 1841 AU55 picked up back in January.
My favorite purchases this year were the coins I snagged on the snowy Thursday open of the ANA show in Colorado springs.
No matter what else the rest of the year brings, this is my favorite for 2024.

I get goosebumps every time I look at this circulated beauty.
Snagged these three at the FUN show ....... not much action since but looking forward to Central States this week.
I just picked up an upgrade for my birthyear set. An earlier generation holder doesn't match up with the others, but an upgrade all the same.

Probably these 2 are the best ones I picked up so far in 2024. But 1 of them isnt really a coin, but is considered Exonumia

MrSpud. I like your AU58 but I hope to go to the opposite end of the grading scale 😁

These two... yes, common dates and I dipped into savings to do it. I purchased the $20 Saint first and have nearly made up the premium I paid over melt already.

Really, really happy with this one!

Edit to add- For any newer members that think that’s a big ‘ol scratch on her neck, that’s a die line, noted on all ‘78cc DEs, as only one obverse die was used. I forgot about a friend questioning that line when I was just debating buying it.

Give me 2 days, getting a delivery at central states 😅.

Very tough to choose only 2; 4 immediately spring to mind. I've added some really neat coins.
Chopmarked Trade Dollar Registry Set --- US Gold Showcase --- World Gold Showcase --- World Chopmark Showcase
Difficult to choose just two so….
double post
1 is probably and easy pick, just because what it is for the series
2 is a lot more difficult, but this one would be pretty tough to beat

Just got this one:
I've fortunately had a few to start off the year, but these two are my favorite "best" pickups for 2024 so far...
PCGS MS65 1878-CC Morgan Dollar, picked up in February 2024
PCGS Doily MS66 1880-S Morgan Dollar, picked up in April 2024
Both are nice, but that '15.....WOW!!
I can’t decide on just two, but here’s some new fun stuff
Might change if the coin I'm eyeing to buy is still available in the next few weeks.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
My first two of 2024 and the two i like the most.
USAF (Ret.) 1985 - 2005. E-4B Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief and Contracting Officer.
My current Registry sets:
✓ Everyman Mint State Carson City Morgan Dollars (1878 – 1893)
✓ Everyman Mint State Lincoln Cents (1909 – 1958)
✓ Morgan Dollar GSA Hoard (1878 – 1891)
I recently started collecting Lincolns from 1959-date. These are 2 of the 9 I have acquired so far. Both are PCGS MS68RD.
Later, Paul.
With my memory I can't remember what all I've bought this year. I received this one a few days ago. Maybe not the greatest, but I like it.
I acquired a Dan Carr 2016 Centennial 10C, 25C and 50C trio in "antiqued" finish to go along with my "satin" finish trio.

This one without a doubt. I've bought just two real coins and two bullion items this year, and this is by far the more significant of the two coins.
peacockcoins
I can think of three actually but the one I’m most happy with unfortunately doesn’t have good images so I won’t post it.
These other two are pretty special and both were bought at the FUN show in January and both happen to be from one of the best CBH collections out there…none other than @lkeigwin

Best 2 were both details coins.
I think my best two coins for this first half of the year would be my no drapery half (MS62) that I long sought since being a seated liberty half collector:
Second place goes to this tough date to find in the O mint series (MS62 CAC):
