They haved moved back the chemo until the 13th. This is due to her WBC and the Neutropenia. From there she will have imaging done on the 17th. The most important part- The surgeon has already booked the surgery for May 28th. Please keep the prayers going! She is fighting.
My understanding is the surgery has to be scheduled X many of days out so they are scheduling this far with the plan being the chemo has done what is needed. The most important thing right now is getting the tumor off the hepatic artery so it can be fully visualized. Beyond the size this is the major issue right now.

Aspen had another chemo treatment on May 15th. It was delayed 2 days because of her neutropenia. Giving her White Blood Cell count a chance to rebound before another round of Cisplatin and Doxyrubicin.
The treatment last 4 + hours. She handled it like a champ! She is definitely a fighter. The physicians let bub and Ash take Aspen to the Ronald McDonald house on May 16th to spend some time with her big sisters. Before letting her leave they gave a her a shot of Neulasta. The Neulasta will reduce the risk of secondary infections while boosting her White Blood Cells. This baby is such a fighter.
Surgery is scheduled for May 28th (barring any other complications) after a round of imaging later this week! We pray the tumor has shrunk and we get a clear view of the hepatic artery.

Surgery tomorrow! Imaging did not show as much shrinkage as wanted. They injected a die that the tumor will uptake thus show the irregular edges of the tumor
Goal is to take less than 40% of her liver. We are nervous... expected more shrinkage but the Cisplatin side effecta are already showing. She has auditory deficits in the upper registers already.

Surgery will last 5 to 7 hours AFTER she is opened up.
They gave her another shot of Neulasta to boost her wbc/neutrophils!
What a precious little angel! Cisplatin has very nasty side effects that are poorly tolerated among adults, and she looks to be taking it like a champ. I hope all is well with her surgery and that she makes a speedy recovery.
Maybe if we get the word out to our family members they will reach that 7500$ goal. I am sending this to some of mine hopefully you guys get some more donations since they would probably not bid on coins.

Surgery went much quicker than expected. Tumor margins very clean. Doc said she handled it like a champ.
Only lost 30 cc of blood (they gave her a pint last night just in case).
This baby is so strong... she has fought for every breathe she has taken. She is destined for greatness!!!
Next extubation, observation... she will have 2 more Cisplatin treatments over the next 3 weeks.
I figure, if her treatments run smoothly and Mom & Dad get back to their normal grind soon, then a little extra may be put away for Aspen's college fund! Imagine her in 17 yrs or so, picking out the school she wants to go to...
