Enjoy your retirement! Crazy how I feel busier than when I was working (2016 for me). It’s great & I hope the same for you! How about a retired issue in honor of your retirement?
Congratulations!
I retired 16 years ago and have been having a blast. I still get up at the same time every day (early) so I can maximize my fun!
The big thing is that you now can do what YOU want to do instead of what someone/something else DIRECTS you to do. Take the time to explore new areas too.
I still enjoy coins and have more time for coin shows. But I also have spent significant time sharing my expertise in volunteer work. I get more satisfaction from volunteering than any paid job I ever had - by far.
Enjoy your "permanent vacation" - you have earned it. Retirement is everything it is cracked up to be.

Make a roadtrip to Gettysburg next month for the show!
Thanksgiving National Battlefield Coin Show is November 29-30, 2024 at the Eisenhower Allstar Sportsplex, Gettysburg, PA. Tables are available. WWW.AmericasCoinShows.com
Congrats, @ElmerFusterpuck! When I retire, I'm going to take a part-time gig as a Wal-Mart greeter, and when I greet people and they don't smile back at me, I'm going to bash their shins with the shopping cart. :-)
@drddm Dave - when you say you're not going to retire, I think that's just your way of saying you're younger than some of us. Ahem. Present company included. heheh
Half dime here is unfortunately NOT mine, although I dropped hints to my buddies that it's what I wanted for Christmas. Oh well, better luck next year.
Finally able to get back on here to respond! Who knew retirement can be so busy? At least it's me setting the times, so it's all good! Actually taking time to visit my coins in the bank vault and decide which ones I'll start selling over time. Our 4 year old granddaughter was looking at the box of toned Morgans and mention she really liked the blue and the green ones! Already getting good taste.
I'll have plenty to do, with travel being one of the big ones. I think it will be a good time in my life.
Thanks for all the well wishes and the impressive coins posted here!

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
