Was looking for nice luster under the tone. No such luck on this one. The green is tone and not pvc

That's a nice coin underneath all that dark.

In order for that coin to have achieved that "look" it must have sat undisturbed for a very long time.
Would you dare dip this one?
Makes you wonder where she was tucked away and pretty much protected all these years.

It is highly unlikely that coin would benefit from a dip.
Maybe in an old leather coin purse. I've seen coins that were stored in those for years and they typically have a dark appearance.

Had a Barber Quarter like that -- undoubtedly original, really nice AU+ details but OH the toning was so deep as to almost appear terminal, to me. They can be fun conversation pieces, but toning that deep is a bit much for my tastes.
I actually like the obv; the rev not so much.
