Met @Tibor What a great day Louie and I had yesterday. As Louie lives within 20 minutes of where I grew up it was truly a no brainer. We had lunch and discussed coins for a length of time. Found we both had experienced the same coin shop 60 years ago Kingsport Hobby Shop and Mel's Coin and Stamp in Johnson City, TN is where I bought my first 32 d & s Washington Quarters in 1972 from Mel, who I found is still active. While we do not collect the same series, we enjoyed our conversations in many numismatic terms. The waitress came to our table 4 times only to be told, not yet. Thank you Louie for the engaging visit.

I enjoyed our get together as well. Those Jefferson nickel sets along
with 7070 type set were fun to see. Been a long time since I've seen a set
as evenly matched as the Jefferson. Jim and I both enjoy toning. We shared
many experiences from our early collecting days. A good time, lots
of fun. Tibor
Life is good when that happens 😉
Great to read stories like these. Glad you guys had a good time and could connect. Makes the hobby so much more interesting and fun when you have friends to share it with

Thanks for sharing your experience, I still hope to meet you in person sometime too!
The best part of the hobby is the people in it. Sounds like time well spent.
Friends!
Fantastic, I’ve met quite a few forum members whom I now call friends. Glad you guys were able to connect!

There are some damn fine folks on this board ... more than a few I can legitimately call friends both here and face-to-face in the off-line world. Probably a few more I'll be able to say that about if we ever get to the same place at the same time.

That's awesome I never met anyone from here in person but feel like I have known some since childhood, as previously said there are some great people here who I hope one day are paths may cross how did you find out @Tibor lives near the town of your ute (lol youth).
Working on the 2nd Lincoln Cent Album, I found Tibor's address in order to send some Lincolns and Lo and Behold he lived where I went to school from 5th grade though college. So cool. Now when I go to meet him again, perhaps we can get @erwindoc to accompany us. Be great.

We need to include @Fraz the next time. He lives close by
as well. Maybe sometime in May.
I’d be tempted to do a road trip if you two guys are getting together!
That would be great. We will work on it.
