Question regarding set ratings

Why on some sets is the highest possible set rating higher than a user or users with a complete set (and the set has no bonuses for top pop, etc.)

For example, in my attached screen shot the highest set rating his 71.706 but number one rankings are 71.

    What is the set?
    I'll look it up
They must be giving extra points for something

Open the set, not your set, and at the top click on set composition, there it will tell you if any bonus points are to be had

  • Don't see any bonus points. If it did I am sure someone would have a rating over 71.0??

Ok, so they are giving an extra point for tie for finest
Scroll over the yellow area and it will show you

    Mike, my set:
Kennedy Half Dollars Basic Silver Set, Proof (1964, 1992-Present)
    CURRENT FINEST RANK 2
    GRADE 73.543 RATING 73.543 PERCENT COMPLETE 100.00%
Always makes me laugh when I look at this set and it's overall rating.
The majority of the coins are awarded DC BONUS POINTS OF +3.
Only 2 coins have a Weight of 3.
Those would be the '95 and '97 S coins.
    The rest are a 2 or a 1.
I did mention this to the set registry way, way back when.
The basic response was it is what it is.

I just wanted to add that the 1995-s has a total pop of 1,199/0
and the 1997-S has a pop of 1,327/0.
Both coins are pr70 DCAM in silver.
    lol
