Cousins could be interesting but wont be cheap. If they did go that route it would seem smart to trade down or take a tackle with the first pick. Vikings would obviously be looking for a QB, Raiders, and the Giants should be that wouldnt move them that far down. A WR will still be there and some will still be there in the 2nd and 3rd. The LTs should go in the first round with some of the RTs left in the 2nd. Theres some you could maybe switch to LT, but if RT is the goal there should be one at the top of the 2nd left

i am not big on fields. what if we signed Kirk Cousins, drafted Harrison at 3, then took a couple of tackles in round 2 and 3?

If Harrison is really a generational player...

There's a report going around that the Vikings are interested in moving up from pick #11 into the top 5 to grab one of the better QBs and one of the talking heads threw out a trade proposal with NE giving up #3 while getting back #11, a 2025 1st and Justin Jefferson. Reports have been the Vikings may not be interested in paying out what it would actually cost to keep Jefferson.
i doubt that this deal gets offered but i would jump at that trade offer if it was close. Drop down 8 spots and grab the best Tackle available or even Brock Bowers, the best TE if he's still there. They could still grab a Starting Tackle with pick #34.

If they re-sign Michael Onwenu before the draft then they wouldn't need to pick a right tackle, they could just look for interior picks on the OLine in later rounds.

I just listened to one of the Pats podcasts and they were saying that Jonathan Kraft is leaning towards a QB with the 3rd pick. I hope they don't take one just for the sake of taking a QB and if they go Daniels or Maye its because they think he's their guy for the forseeable future.

No chance theyre giving up JJ and a first. If someone would do that they should be fired on the spot. Even if they actually did which would be insane Bears or Washington would take that in a second and let them have a higher pick

i know one thing, i'm driving myself nuts reading all of these mock drafts

wish it would hurry up and get here already for the sake of my sanity

if the Patriots pass up a QB and grab Harrison instead, which some are predicting they will, i may go George Brett crazy

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

First year WR's typically come out of the gate slow unless they are in solid situations and their talent is real like Lamb, Jefferson and Chase ect

Cousins will cost a ton of money and to get tied up in an aging QB who right wrong or indifferent has never brought his team far into the playoffs is not a good plan, the Pats don't have a team in place where they literally just need a QB to get them somewhere, the QB is the only position they should be looking at for thus draft.

If they swing and miss then so be it, but I want them to try

I can be on board with this plan. I have just been reading some very glowing reports about Harrison and how he could be a generational talent. we all know how QB's in the draft bust more often than they make it. I was thinking possibly Harrison is a sure thing and less of a risk. possible discount on Cousins because of the injury and use him as a bridge QB to give us time to sure up the line and giving a young QB a better chance.

who knows, Harrison could bust as well. sometimes I think the NFL draft is little more than a coin flip

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

The draft is tough sledding, I'm sure Harrison will be great but a stud WR is limited with a marginal QB whereas a Decent WR has upside with a better QB

Definitely tough to predict who will be great or not but I'd rather go down swinging with QB

So is the draft loaded with high quality receivers or at least potential to be high quality nfl receivers?

    Asking for Kadarius Toney.

Why are the Chiefs being so weird about K Toney? Like why dont they just cut him instead of leaving the kid hanging and dealing with him calling them out on Social Media?

Yes, if you've got a team full of dead head QB's, and you've got a very high draft pick, you've really got no choice, you've got to draft a QB in that situation. Unless the top choices are stone cold obvious losers.

Sure it's tempting to go with a stud OL, RB, etc. Then try to get lucky with a QB in the second round or whatever. But in my opinion that's not playing the odds correctly when it comes to increasing your chances of winning a Super Bowl.

I don’t know what the deal is with Toney. I hope they release him and the underperforming Skyy Moore and draft a couple of promising receivers and maybe sign a veteran free agent.

what are the odds of another 3 win season

8 of their 13 losses were by a margin of 7pts or less and they averaged 13pts a game, just a slight upgrade on offense may lead to more wins.

you got the memo from the team bill apologist squad i see.
the fraud squad billyB defense team has been making the rounds of all the talking head shows the past few weeks . the games were close!
it was all the QB !(except when we were good of course then it was all bill)

iwas only joking about the RB from wendys but it seems kraft sports saw my post and hired an entire offense staff from there :s

So they're nothing more than a 3win team in 2024? I'd suggest an avatar bet but you don't comment enough here to make that worthwhile.

They're going to win more than 3 games next season and as our resident Eagles fan likes to say....its a stone cold lock.

How many times do I need to tell you to stop listening to those miserable Mofos on the radio? What good is following a sports team when literally every take you make is just pure venom? That last one is a rhetorical question. 😉

lombardi presented closing arguements for team bill yesterday on felger and mazz if it represents the way bill actually thinks hes at biden levels of brain damage
The dude actually brought up Cam Newton as positive evidence of Bill's coaching without Tom :D
Not just talk radio , the TV shows are all deluded as well

this isnt all bill though. Bill is gone and they are hiring a bunch of nobodies that is on the krafts. They are tossing around nickles and dimes like manhole covers

But there really isn't all that much available to be fair, I'm not sure I was that high on Vrabel, he is a defensive type coach and Tennessee dumped him for some reason other than what they are saying, lets give Mayo a shot and if he is awful then dump him, there really isn't a whole lot out thee

Well, we've all known that Lombardi has been Belichick's chief bobo for how many years now? Of course he's going to defend BB till the end lol.

It started with the fans and has seeped into every aspect of Sports content in this area. A large portion of the sports fans in this area just prefer to be miserable even when our sports teams are winning.

What other names are out there that they really missed out on though? Mayo has been Kraft's choice to replace BB ever since some trip to Isreal four years ago.
Alex Van Pelt was their 2nd choice behind Zac Robinson who took the OC job in Atlanta. I doubt that the Falcons offered him much more money than NE would have and he probably took the job because ATL has better pieces on offense to work with compared to the Pats who are basically starting their offense rebuild from scratch. To me that decision was a no-brainer but feel free to blame Kraft for some reason.

Their only other staff hires were Covington getting a promotion from Dline coach to DC which I'm fine with because it means more continuity on our defense, the best unit on the team.
Then there's the McAdoo hire as Offensive assistant and from what I've read Carolina is still probably paying him his previous salary which is great move by NE to hire him for nickels and dimes.

paid by someone else , now why does that ring a bell? oh right the judge patricia experience :D hire a bunch of losers who dont need to be paid so it doesn't cut into the massage parlor fund
he is cut from the same cloth as those retards too I bet we all blamed Billy for that but it was kreepy Kraft , same MO
didn't mac a doo doo work in the only offense that sucked as much as the patriots? probably had nothing to do with why he was let go i suppose?

You do know that NE won multiple SBs with those two in major roles on their coaching staff, right? The problem with them had nothing to do with how much they were paid and everything to do with Belichick bringing both back to run an offense, something that they'd had never done before.

You're the only Pats fan that i've seen complaining about how much the coaching staff is getting paid. Believe me when I say that there weren't many great offensive coordinators avaible to hire who were willing to come build that side of the ball from scratch.
You seem to think it was just a question of more money when its not. No Qb, no #1 Wr, no Starting Left tackle, No starting Tight End under contract and your best RB has been on IR for months. Way too many questions for a proven OC to want to take on.
The only guy that would have been a great hiring at OC would have been bringing back Josh McDaniels back for the 27th time but apparently whether it was Mayo,Kraft or McD himeself, it never happened.

its the lack of tom brady . we won superbowls in spite of those idjits because of Tom.
We are the laughing stock of the league the little pervert that owns the team can't even get anyone good to interview because he is cheap and without Brady everyone can see both him and Bill are complete frauds

Well he will spend on big TV screens and stupid lighthouses for some reason but not players or coaches
