1823 Maybe non-so-ugly 3

Hi all,
I'm seeking information regarding this half dollar. I thought it might be an Ugly 3 variety but the die doesn't match O-110a. Could it be a regular 3 that was damaged?
Any help is appreciated.

    Looks like a 106a - see Overton's description and the shape of the 3 will make sense

    While not exactly a perfect match, still an Ugly 3. See the flat bottomed 3. The Patched 3 is tilted, which yours is not. JMO

    Jim, It is not an Ugly 3 (O-110a). I MIGHT be wrong, but it's a 106a.

    @zrnumismatics

    Some of us call this the irregular 3, although that isn't really a universally accepted description. And, I really cant comment on her regularity. B);)

    There are so many funky 3's it's hard to keep track of them all.

    3rd Edition partial description of 106a

    "Although in this variety the three is a bit rough and irregular, it is not any of the varieties known as the broken, patched or ugly 3's."

    .

    @jesbroken Sorry if that came off wrong. Look at obverse star placement near the cap for a quick pick-up as to why it can't be a 110a

    As I am in no way very proficient(obviously) with attributing Cap Bust Halves, I will defer to your far more knowledgeable opinion. Thanks Todd. I always was of the opinion that a damaged 3 had to be either a Patched or Ugly 3 and now stand corrected. I have always loved this series but just never had the funds to support it other than the occassional pick up. I was smart enough to get the books, but not smart enough to use them. lol
    Thanks again.

    I appreciate the help @persuitofliberty. It's definitely 106a.
