1955 D "L" on the edge wheat penny

I found this 1955 wheat penny while remodeling a room in the house. It was behind the quarter round trim on the floor.
It appears it has the L from LIBERTY on the rim. Is it of any value?

    They were all like that up until they changed the master die in 1969
    and they moved the copy away from the border so no premium.

    The L on the rim is NOT an error! Don't believe everything the Facebook groups say. (Actually, don't believe ANYTHING the Facebook groups say.)

    @Greenstang nailed it.
    Since you are remodeling, put it back and add a newly dated coin along with it for the next person to find when they remodel. I did this many years ago when I redid evey room in my house.

    It's a good thing the cent has little value, other than being a wheat back. Otherwise you might have been tempted to rip the house apart looking for more coins. :D
