Ravens 28-17, Mahomes 40+ yards rushing due to pressure and no WR open

    49'ers 34-17, Purdy 4 TD's

    • Ravens in a relatively easy win.
    • 49ers and Lions in a squeaker, last team with the ball wins. 😉

I hope the Ravens win. They are team for which I have most attachment. It comes from all the years I went to the Baltimore coin show, and the many Orioles games I attended in the summer during the coin shows.

I would like to see Detroit beat the 49ers, but that is probably a pipe dream.

For me, a Chiefs - 49ers Super Bowl would be pretty boring. No one to root for.

Too tough to call. I think the bookies have the lines basically right.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the final scores fall close to the lines.

Would be a great story if Detroit could finally at least get into a Super Bowl. We shall see.

If the Ravens win out 2024 will have the College and NFL champs coached by brothers.

I suspect that has never happened before.

My mind says it will be a SF/Baltimore super bowl.

My heart sure wants Detroit in there though. those fans deserve it.

i close my eyes and am able to envision the Ravens putting it on the Chiefs, just because they've looked like the better team all season long

but then i open and reclose them and can also envision a QB who is evolving into a quasi-Tom Brady pulling a Tom Brady and catapulting his team to victory when few are predicting he will

idk about anyone else, but when the overwhelming majority thinks a certain team is going to win and the other has Patrick Mahomes as its QB, that gives me the willies

In his career, so far, the only opposing QB who was Patty Mahomes Kryptonite was my Tommy.

I think the stat I saw was in the playoffs, Patty is 13-1 against everyone else and 0-2 against my Tommy.

I picked Baltimore, but I dont see Tommy strapping the pads up on Sunday so anything is possible.

Question is for how long though, last week he was in and both times he was tackled he exited the game

That's a good point. This morning I read a brief interview from Shanahan about the Deebo Samuel injury and he claimed ignorance when asked what exactly was the nature of the injury. When pressed on his non-answer he said something to the effect that "If I don't know what the injury is I can't lie to you guys about it when you ask." The first thing I thought about was the Joe Burrow injury: everyone on the Bengals who was asked had claimed they knew nothing and the NFL immediately investigated.

Certainly this is a little different but what is the point of having "full disclosure" injury reports if the people who should know claim ignorance when asked?? Am I the only one who presumes HC Kyle Shanahan knows the nature of the injury and what level of play to expect from Samuel??

In my opinion there is no such thing as full disclosure ever with these teams and coaches.

Shanahan knows more than what he is saying

I think we will end up with a Baltimore/SF superbowl.

I dont really have a rooting interest, but it would be fun to see Detroit win the SB.

I dont think Deebo will make it past the first quarter. i think they would be wise to hold him out and see if it could heal more fully with the 2 week bye before the bowl

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

  • spacehaydukespacehayduke Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭✭✭

I agree with #craig44, hold him out if possible for recovery. But, Deebo is quoted on ESPN today sayin' he's ready to go, it is the NFC championship, and nothin' gonna hold him back. They state that the x-rays were negative just a deep bruise, he went through full practice yesterdya, and is fine. Those might just be words which is why Shanahan avoids the issue altogether. We will see, it would be nice to have him fully ready, but it not and there is no rain that keeps Purdy slipping and sliding the ball all over the place, and they can keep ahead of Dee-Troit, then I'd say rest him.................

That sounds almost verbatim what was eventually said about Deshaun Watson's injury, just a deep bruise and no structural damage. He eventually needed to stop playing and have surgery.

    I'm rooting/hoping for a 49ers versus Chief Super Bowl.

So that means the Lions and Ravens will win tomorrow.

Nah, I have alot of confidence in your picks............. I think the Chiefs will upset the Ravens, the rain so far seems to be going away as we approach a few hours within game time. And it is looking Purdy good in CA.

I've heard rumors that late in the game, if the Chiefs have the game in hand, that they are going to suit-up Taylor at RB or WR, and let her try to score an honorary touchdown. Travis will block for her.

The Baltimore defense has been a big disappointment so far.

So far it looks Buffalo was the second best team this year.

Made 2 bets. Both parlays. 1)ML Baltimore,San Francisco and both games over. 2) Saver bet. KC, Detroit both with points. I won't mind losing the first parlay.

Looks sunny and warm in Santa Clara - hey a guy with a 49 Niner jersey is singing the anthem, imagine that.

Should be higher scoring than B-KC.

When you make stupid plays, it always hurts your team...now the Ravens have a long season to ponder their loss. If you can't control your emotions for an hour or so, you shouldn't play the game.

It was theirs to lose, and they succeeded.

Anyone see this coming? I sure didn’t. 21-7 Lions and 49ers defense looks lost. Now we’ll see how a 7th round draft choice acts down 14 again.
