Detroit Lions ticket prices are going through the roof as rare playoff run jolts local economy

A buddy of mine, a Phillies season tickets holder, has had pretty good success flipping tickets. I've never done it yet, but I'm always on the lookout and if I think the odds are strongly in my favor, I plan on pouncing on it.

Admittedly, I took a quick look at this game, but passed figuring that Detroit has a "reputation" of being a depressed area. Well certainly not this time. Cost myself some good coin sitting on the sidelines. 😒

I gotta figure this type of fan enthusiasm certainly can't hurt. Sure gonna be a lot of pumped up fans out there, based on their paying this good money for the tickets.

And I'm not even a Lions fan, I just figured I'd pull for them since they have been so bad for so long and they are a perennial underdog living in the shadow of the Packers. I would love to see an NFC championship of Lions vs Packers with the Lions sending the Pack home as losers. Just imagine how a real Lions fan feels!

Plus the Lions have never won a Super Bowl. In fact, they have never even played in a Super Bowl.

In this season of seemingly no dominant team, anything is possible.

Hope the Lions win it all this season or Green Bay.

If “the big Lions” show up to this game, it should be an easy win for them. My hometown Bucks won in a weak division and then beat the hapless Eagles. For the Eagles, the wheels and the axels fell off at the end of the season. They were almost completely grounded.

Tampa has played some good games, but they have been flat too. Their barely over .500 record is a reflection of what the team is.

Best to raise now with the state of euphoria Detroit is in. Fans feel the pinch less. Their senses are filled/dulled with playoff fever.

I've got no skin in the game, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Lions win.

Philly fans can certainly relate to any team that is long suffering.
