Wonderful coin and these are so hard to find in this state of preservation. I would likely grade it higher than out Host- I suspect our host is likely at 30 possibly 35. It is clearly a very high end VF with a reasonable shot at 40. The obverse has a pattern of wear that makes a 40 a tough call- but with the larger Bust Quarters, this is simply how they come. I like it. This also illustrates how challenging the early dates are to find in a nice circulated grade-
congrats- well played

Thanks for all that guessed the grade on this coin. I believe PCGS got this dead on @ XF-40
I saw this coin and had to have it, the surfaces are so clean and a Browning 2 example to boot with a pop 2 with great eye appeal
Not sure if this coin was ever submitted to CAC but I think it would be worth a shot.

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
VF-35. Could see it as XF40 also.
Im at 40 too.Nice !
Nice coin!

35 was my first thought

30 as well, seems like PCGS is pretty conservative on these
The obverse looks 40 ish to me, but the reverse details seem more like 45+, so I would be EF unless I saw it in hand.
It’s a very nice example of the Browning 2 variety, which is one of the scarcer 1821 die marriages! Thanks for sharing your quarter.

40 crowd, but nice regardless.

I thought 40 also

I'm right where everyone else is, in the 35-40 range. The reverse appears to have less wear than the obverse, but this isn't unusual.
My first reaction was VF30, but the coin has nice eye appeal and is free of distracting marks. Let's call it VF35.
XF-40 works for me!
I will guess PCGS said VF-25.

Who cares what the number is, just look at those surfaces! PERFECT!!!
Anyone grading this less than a 30 needs to sell me their bust quarters. 😉
I’m solidly in the 35 shot 40 camp.

35-40 for me as well. Beautiful coin.
I'm in the 35/40 camp as well
Note: that's a real nice coin 🪙
VF30, original, I guess that's how these come.

That’s an attractive quarter. I’m in the VF camp on it… looks like a nice VF-35 to me.
I'm with everyone else... tossed the same numbers around in my head.
What P said, we will have to wait and see.

35 is what I see. Very nice 👍

Very nice coin, and congrats on having (I think) the most participation ever in a bust quarter GTG!
Great coin, great grade and great that you got a coin that you and the public loves.

Beautiful. I just started collecting these. Wish I started a long time ago but now that I know what I like, no better time than the present.
Congrats.
Very nice coin.
Oh wow, awesome. I’d have said 35, but who cares what I say….. it’s beautiful!
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
