Peace dollar are still made and eligible for commerce. The fact people don’t use them is immaterial.

    You are correct. ;)

I have tried to get the Secret Service to help with several counterfeit coins.
Their answer is "We are too busy to pursue "collector" or non-circulating coins."
"It takes all of our resources to pursue people making fake $100 bills and that is where we focus our time"

This is not a coin so some may argue that paper money laws are different.
This is just an example of how the government can pick & choose what is and what is not counterfeit.
This coffee mug was declared counterfeit and subject to seizure.
The reason being was it was printed on paper and then glazed to the mug.
Clearly the mug could never be used in commerce and would not fool a cashier.
It was a silly ruling! :D
I only heard of one being confiscated and it's not a high priority on law enforcements list.
I think they made the law just to get the person making them to stop.
I own one of these mugs but the photo is not of mine.

This is NOT a political post.
