Would love to get some opinions on the grade of this coin. I believe it to be better than the AU58 grade given. Opinions will help me decide to either ask for a reconsideration or crack out and send in for new grading

I have no real grading skills but in my opinion I think it deserves better than AU58. The Reverse is very nice.
Looks like some very light rub so 58 would be accurate. Its probably worth more as 58 than if it upgraded to a 62 anyways.

It's a 1K coin in 58 and a 3K to 4K coin in MS62

If it has rub then it's a 58, regardless of how nice it looks. It may deserve a + depending on its appearance but that's it. I don't see any wear on that trueview, but in-hand inspection would be required.
1934-S Peace $ a fav of mine. Handled a lot of them.
AU 58, light rub.
CDN CPG MV for 58 abt $1600, 62 is near $5000. CPG is a retail price based on CDN bid. Last 4 auc results for AU58 $1020-$1560. It’s certainly a high end 58. Really nice coin.
Looks like a nice AU58, like it would've been 64 or higher if not for the little bit of rub. Sometimes examples like that sell for more than a low MS price.
You may get better responses if you upload the full sized TrueView.
If you are unable or don't know how to upload the full sized image it helps if you don't hide the cert number.
Coin is what I like to call AU64.. think Broadstruck (RIP) was the king of this... Coin has rub and looks like it has 2 reed marks on her chin. I can see lustre breaks that are different than the weakness in the strike. Truly believe the best you can hope for is AU58+ and then get a sticker on it and offer it up for 2500
Coin is nice...
If you were able to post a video of the coin, that could help but it's hard to pick up on slight wear in a TV. If you really don't see any, i'd consider cracking and trying again.

Looks like light rub to me and I'd be happy with the AU58
That date and mint mark combination is like an 1884-S or 1886-O Morgan. It's nearly impossible to get anything higher than AU-58 from PCGS. The prices for truly uncirculated pieces skyrockets in the MS grades.
It’s a coin I’d love to buy as a 58.
If I’d submitted it as a raw coin I’d be a little disappointed it didn’t squeak into a 62 holder.
I think that coin makes it into a mint state holder eventually.
Your coin is a lot nicer than my 62.
Possibly upgrading this is tempting but as others have cautioned, it’s hard to tell from these photos whether the rub is visible to the extent that it might be held to within the AU realm.
In my experience, PCGS has been quite tough on the Peace dollar series, though there have been some opinions expressed that they might be slightly more lenient with key dates.
My 62 is certainly evidence towards that view as it clearly is scratched (by some accounts). It would be a 65 we’re it not for some neck abrasions which we’re likely caused by other coin edges in the bag at some point in time.

It's a nice looking coin for sure. The 2 chin hits and the dings along the truncation might keep it below 62 IMHO. Good luck. Peace Roy
