I love those proof half cents with deep color -
Somewhat rare; the S-22 has a reworked die particularly noted in the “OF”. This one is the finest known with nice eye appeal.
“The thrill of the hunt never gets old”
PCGS Registry: Screaming Eagles Copperindian
Retired sets: Soaring Eagles Copperindian Nickelodeon
Scarce variety. The S-12 features a minor triple die obverse with a missing wing tip hub. Nice eye appeal on this example.
1857 FE S-18 MS65. Interesting that the same die used for the PR3 was later used for the MS version. Although a “minor” DDO variety, it is the finest known. Exceptional eye appeal for this 2* rarity.
Discovery coin for the 1857 DDO the Snow-# cannot remember, does it matter?
Although struck in 2002 it is dated 1857.
