Sorry, just damaged. Worth 10c.

Heat damage, not an error of any kind.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
It's worth, to a collector, (yourself) is the quest to find a relative strike, older or younger does not make a difference.
Save it as a sample for later research.
Another example would take "The what if", out of the equasen. (Quest)
Just a thought.
No, just alot of damage
@Manifest_Destiny I love it! Very creative and a great job. You get a like and an lol. Damn, the system won't let me give you both.

I wish I could take credit for it, but I got the pic out of another thread. I'm not sure who created it, but yeah, it's funny!
Have a better look. Its from the manufacturing process.Clearly.
You haven't posted a photo of the reverse, which would help tell the story.
In any case, you admit that you are a novice but you refuse to listen to far more knowledgeable people. You will have a very frustrating experience in this hobby.
Unless you can explain how this could happen when the coin was struck,
then the alternative is that it is damage.
To do this you would have to have a thorough knowledge of the minting process,
do you have this knowledge in able to explain how this would happen?
looks like my inbox
Absolutely no way that could have happened during the minting process. It looks like multiple causes of the damage, it has been subjected to high heat as well as a hard hit to the rim.
Ivanna get a copy of that book!
Me gonna start a "damage collection".
How do I get my damaged coins attributed?

Looks like after strike damage Johnny.

I hope it wasn’t in someone’s pocket when all this happened!

Looks like it has been breadstruck.
Do more studying. It's damage. But, you know that don't you.
Happy holidays.
Thanks for the laugh you goofy ass clown.

This isn't a minting error or dimple crater in his neck.from a die or anything
Is
No it isn't. That is damage. My opinion is that it is from heat which caused the outer clad layer to bubble and separate. Pictures of the reverse are important too, they may provide information on how the damage occurred.
If the flattened surface and rim was caused by a die striking it, there should be some design imparted by the die. Instead, there a parallel scrape marks there and a large rim bump where the coin was hit from the side with considerable force. The rough surfaces and bumps indicate fire or heat. Heavily oxidized material (dull grey) can be seen in the protected areas by the date and portrait, the result of the abuse that this coin suffered, probably heat and a blow with something heavy.

Spend it quick before it's worth less than 10 cents.

Heck, I'm just here for the entertainment. To the OP, this crowd can be a little rough. But very, VERY intelligent about what they speak. Stick around. If you can survive your 1st half dozen posts, you're in.

There's always something to be learned here.
The updated edition will include an index and maps where the best parking lots are located for searching.
With inflation it already is.
Its not silver, so its worth like 1/30 of 10 cents.

Without seeing the other face of the coin, I think high probability the following mint errors:
Oil filled die strike through, with a failing, (close to catastrophic failure) die.
This is a very special type of error it is called:
"USER ERROR"
