Same as 2023 and every other year.
Finding as many Peru and Bolivia pillar minors to build out my set if it meets my quality standards and is "reasonably" priced. I'll consider duplicates too if I like the coin enough.
I would like to add a 50 franc or 100 franc lucky angel coin. I do see heritage has a nice French coin showcase auction coming up. Not exactly a 2024 auction being next month.
Also, add more gold natura gold coins that pop up.
Positive BST as a seller: Namvet69, Lordmarcovan, Bigjpst, Soldi, mustanggt, CoinHoader, moursund, SufinxHi, al410, JWP
Keep adding new coins to the collection. I've got a box where I keep all of
my new coins and upgrades. They don't actually go into the core of my
collection until @messydesk works his magic. Last time I visited with John
was the 2021 Chicago ANA. I have around 60 for him. Hopefully I will be
at a show that he is attending in the near future.
I would like to get a few Spanish Colonial pieces from Potosi and Mexico City for my collection.
Maybe an 8 Escudo from Potosi is in the works.
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
Work on getting the following UK threepences as time, availability, and budget allow:
1674, 1675, 1678, 1686, 1687/6, 1694, 1699, 1700, 1707, 1763, 1824, 1842, 1851, 1941 (maundy), 1944 (maundy)
Tough series there with some of the early Vicks not seemingly available other than Maundy - many of the "currency" are in fact NOT as you probably know. Good luck. Do you have an 1853 non-maundy true currency (or '46-'48)?
Well, just Love coins, period.
@7Jaguars Unfortunately, I'm currently skipping 1846-1848,1852 and 1853 dates. Those are too hard for me at this point.
I'm thrilled that I was able to land this year a pair of prooflike William IV 3ds (1833 and 1832); an 1844 large date; an 1858/6; a 1743 stop over head; and an 1676 'FRA' to match 'ERA'. Maybe in a few years, I'll circle back to get those dates.
Not going bankrupt...
Adding at least one “core” coin to my collection.

Finish the "1 coin per century collection"

I have to ask what is your oldest coin?

Here it is. 7th Century BC. Some would contest if these early issues are actually coins.

I have books on ancient coins they are coins. Some of the earliest ones ever made.
