Question: Does "The Cross Timbers Dollar Collection" Ring Any Bells With Anyone?
![RichR](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/userpics/325/nTECXA2CBN8RR.jpg)
Hello all...and Happy Holidays!
I recently picked up an attractive slabbed Morgan 1898S PL dollar...and it's attributed to having been part of "The Cross Timbers Dollar Collection"...
I clicked around and I'm not seeing this collection (or hoard?) mentioned online anywhere.
Does it ring a bell with anyone?
Thanks for anything you might know.

Bob Simpson used to own Cross Timbers Oil Company. Perhaps that is the link?

I've always figured that if a Google search doesn't return a meaningful hit in the top four or five results, it's one of those "Since you are sending us your entire collection to (re)grade, for an extra $5 we'll put your name on it".
