Grades posted yesterday, TruViews in the middle of the night. Submitted 11/14 via Express Level. I agree with the 1881. Not too happy with the 1888 grade. Interested in the experts opinions.
Both graded 64 BN. The 1881 being a proof, 1888 MS

I'll say 64+RB on the 1888 and you were disappointed because you thought you'd get a 65 or a RD designation. Or you were really disappointed because it got details grade because of the PVC spot on the reverse.
The 1881 got a UNC details grade for questionable color.
Happy Thanksgiving.

That’s not PVC on the reverse. Not sure what it is actually as the coin didn’t have a spot on it anywhere when it left. It’s debris of some sort.
For the 1881, that’s fairly typical coloring for a proof. I’ll reveal the grades later tonight but I will say that both straight graded. I suppose I should just be happy with that given I only have $90 (not including grading) tied up in both coins combined.
