What are the chances this is an actual 1804 cent?

Counterstamped with an 1804, but cleaned and damaged to hell. What are the chances the actual host coin was an 1804? Is it too damaged to identify the die characteristics of an 1804?

Are there any large cent experts here who can identify this coin based on the Sheldon variety or is there not enough detail remaining on the coin?

The 1804 is only known as an S266, with three major die states.
There is more than enough detail on the reverse to tell me it’s not even close to being an 1804.
As to what it really is, I don’t have the patience to figure it out.

Zero. If it were real in would unattainable by now.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Some needed an 1804 for their album and couldn't afford a real one, so they made their own to fill the need to till the hole in the album.
