Expanded Types

As a type collector I’m always looking to expand my collections by adding coins not included in the traditional sets. Currently I’m adding varieties that should be elevated to type status, IMO.
For sure: 1854 $3; Small Motto 2c; accented Hair 50c. ; various Coronet cents.
Considering: 1860 pointed bust IHC; “Small 5c” CB half dime; 1/2 c no stems.
I’ve only just begun to look at draped bust, capped bust and LS coins.
Omitting 18th century for now.
Would appreciate any input from like-minded type or series specialists. US Federal only at this time.

Liberty Seated coins have many lesser types. Here's quarters:
No drapery 1838-1839
Modified no drapery 1840-o only
Drapery old standard 1840-1853 (NA)
Arrows and rays 1853
Arrows only 1854-1855
Drapery new standard 1856-1865
Motto old standard 1866-1873 (NA)
Motto/Arrows 1873-1874
Motto new standard 1875-1891
Halves:
No drapery 1839 only
Drapery small letters 1839-1842
Drapery large letters old standard 1842-1852 (1853-o also)
Arrows and rays 1853
Arrows only 1854-1855
Drapery new standard 1856-1866
Motto old standard 1866-1873
Motto/arrows 1873-1874
Motto new standard 1875-1891
There are also small variations in the reverse dies like open/closed buds etc.
Many Thanks. Many of these are included in the more comprehensive traditional sets. However, it never occurred to me to differentiate between old standard and new standard issues. I only split Motto and No Motto. EXCELLENT. And I’ll check out the 1840o. Thanks again.
Here's a discussion about the 1840-o no drapery quarter.

Thanks MD. Excellent write up. I’m going to include an example in my set, displayed with the no drapery and what I now will call the “old standard” No Motto. Best regards.
