    I inherited this Morgan already painted pink. 40 years later I experimented dipping it in a witch's brew of household solvents.

    Finally!!! I have so many options!!!! :D

    I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.

    I don't think I've ever had the need to soak a coin in acetone for more then a minute or two.

    I would think that it's some gunk that got stuck there because of the incuse design.
