Not a card but it is kind of card related.
Some of you may remember me selling off a big chunk of my collection the first part of last year. A couple guys asked what was next for me and I mentioned buying another muscle car. Well that day finally came. This was delivered to me this morning.
I have been looking for a nice 9 for the Penguin Collection, but settled on this 8 instead.
It looked better than a lot of the 9's that have been up for sale.
While everyone is posting 72 Rookie Stars of their favorite teams, here is mine. Its in the Assembly stage. Hoping for a 9 or 8 too but know how it works and wont be too surprised if its lower than that.

Hey, you never know, I hit the jackpot when I submitted mine in 2019…

I also had an old Mantle card laying around…and I updated the holder…(not a bad card to see from the self proclaimed non-sports guy!!!… lol)

Very nice. Congrats. After giving it some thought I'm going to submit mine in 2019 too.
That's why I love the 1957 Topps & 1953 Bowman so much. Fantastic on field pics, stadium backgrounds, people in the stands. Stadiums that no longer exist. Real photo's, not paintings.
Easter has a fascinating backstory. Didn’t even play in the Negro Leagues until he was 31 because there was no local team. Some say he was the best power hitter they’d ever seen.

Added this mid grade Ryan to the run for the price of a modern jumbo pack.
Well done! That card almost doesn't exist with centering that nice.
Nice card but what are all those indentations on the right border? I see that it is an older flip. I bet the new AI grading system would not be as generous to give that a 6.

Don’t know and did not see them so can’t be a big issue. For about $100+ it is worth it on eye appeal alone IMO.
I've wanted this card since I was a kid, and finally decided to pull the trigger on one.
Main collecting focus is Patrick Roy playing days 85/86-02/03, expect 1/1, National/All-Star stamped cards.PC Completion: 2,548/2,952; 86.31% My Patrick Roy PC Website:https://proy33collector.weebly.com
Been mine raw since 1969 and 1995. Not new to me but just got these back from SGC. Thought I'd try a test run since I've never submitted to SGC. Seemed like a cheap test to me, if I hated the grades I'd just crack them out. Worst of my '69 Mantle cards and a clean T206. Had them submitted thru a local dealer. One month total on the nose to get them back.
A whole bunch of graded rookies received over the last few weeks. Missing is a 1986 Rice PSA 8 still on its way.

Picked up a couple of nice Barry Larkin autographed cards that actually qualify for the master set since they came out just a year after he retired. Both are the highest graded.

Oh WOW. Sweet ride.
I'm not generally a fan of the new Camaro, but that one is beautiful.
Thanks. I think it's a nice looking card!
Jfkheat…
Sweet looking car! Congrats!
As a Mets fan, I always had a soft spot for this card….finally found one that is to my liking.

Then these should be in the mailbox today. Very similar cards right?
A couple of recent reholders… I’m happy with the updates to align with the rest of the sets…

Really like the Philadelphia Football Cards. Four of the hardest sets I
put together back in the 80's.
Thrilled with my recent purchase from a fellow board member at the Toronto Expo. Happy for the upgrade to my Orr registry set.

Wow, what a beauty. The epitome of what a mint vintage OPC card looks like.
Yes I like the Philadelphia cards.

Been tough to find a centered front Boyer for my 1957 Cards collection. Finally got one.
Love that Boyer. Such a cool card.

Couple of faux retro metal advertising signs, with the wax pack artwork, for the card room wall. Each are roughly 8"x12"
Straight to the Tribe PC......

Beautiful card...the color on the '51 and '52 Bowmans can be striking in those black holders.
Morphing into football only here

But Liqueur's quicker
One more for the Griffey 90's iconic cards set. Rare/Gold subset.

Damon Allen and Warren Moon, nice, two all time great CFL QB's.
Made an offer on this one and seller accepted. I don't like the way the card sits in the holder, but I sure like the card!

Love the 1992 Elite set. Congrats on adding this iconic card to your collection! I may have a bit of a childhood addiction too 🙂
Very very nice! Junior in 1992 elite is as good as it gets! Congrats!
