My latest Dansco "Continental Line" album

I know there are very few- if any- older classic album collectors here (and perhaps that is a good thing- it keeps the competition down), yet I thought you might like to see my latest.
These older Continental Line albums are scarce and don't turn up much anywhere. Many are somewhat beat up too as they were meant to be used and reused again.
This one is in particularly excellent condition, and looking at the inside plastic 2X2 holders don't appear to have been used at all.

We watched the 3 prequel Continental episodes & then absolutely had to marathon the 4 John Wicks couple weekends ago. It all makes so much more sense now !!!
Oh & Nice Holder !
I still use 2x2s.
That's a great looking album!
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Another one from La Mirada, cool, I drive through that town on my way to work.

That’s a sweet album. Very classy indeed. What the kids these days call boujee.
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
That is a pretty book, I like 👍
Really nice!!
Question: How do the inside 2x2 sheets look? Are they still flexible or is the plastic brittle?
Disclaimer: I'm not a dealer, trader, grader, investor or professional numismatist. I'm just a hobbyist. (To protect me but mostly you! 🤣 )
My first dansco book held 2x2's. I like it!
interesting .... are the 2x2 sheets made with pvc?
I now have an idea for some of my Danscos
No, not brittle at all. The slots are tight like they've never had a 2X2 placed in them.
I know Harco made coin albums using PVC in the plastic sheets. I've seen coins that had that slimy green film on them from collector use in these albums.
I haven't heard of difficulty with the Dansco plastic sheets.

The Harco design used PVC in full contact with the coins. The coins went in a multipocket PVC slide that THEN slid inside even more PVC.... They didn't use 2x2s. They stored the coins in the pocket slides.
ALL plastic!
I had a Harco album of silver Roosevelts several years ago. Didn't know much about PVC back then. Very surprised to open it up one day and they all were pea green. Extended bath in Acetone cleaned them up. Album went in the garbage.
Yes, PVC is a concern with this album. I wouldn't use it to store coins. Direct contact is the worst situation but offgassing can damage coins without direct contact. Fine to collect the albums, but don't put coins in anything with vinyl (soft plastic).
Friggin outstanding Pat!

It was the Harco Coin Master albums that came packed with PVC. We sold them in the coin shop as the best thing since sliced bread when they came out, week later one of the best customers walked in with a green set of early Lincolns. All were bright red when they went in, yucky green when they came out. He blamed us and quit working with us. Hate it when that happens.
I just added two more interesting and somewhat unusual albums to my growing collection.
Right when I thought I had a handle on the various albums Dansco has been contracted to produce, I found another couple of albums I was unaware of. I am pleased to add these to my collection.

Great albums!!!
An FYI, I suspect the plastic pages, especially in the older continental albums, contain PVC. The ones in my collection feel and sound like they were made with PVC when I handled them.
