Looks “good” to me. 😉
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
AU55
And, your photos look better than the TrueView.
Sweet acquisition and nice work.

I'll go with AU58, but this coin is a great example of how difficult it can be to grade this series with respect to strike, wear, "cabinet friction" and the like.
Regardless, it looks great!

AU55 from me. I like the color a lot!
Todd- any chance you're shooting a stop high for exposure?

Very attractive coin! i”ll go 58+ with CAC!
You better! I was the underbidder! 😭
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
Lovely!
I'll go with a conservative 53..
Maybe a tad less luster across the portrait than a 55 or 58 would have?
I'm in the AU-55 camp and yes, your pics are better than the TrueViews, unless of course the coin is an MS-65!
Ill say 58

The grade is a coin toss but the originality is definetly a winner!

58 and absolutely lovely!
Grade revealed here!
Besides being correct, I think @jayPem made a very astute observation. As beautiful as this coin is in hand (and she is!), she is missing the frost you would want on the portrait and some of the other high points for a high-end 55 or 58 coin. While I can see her as a 55 on any given day (maybe more days than I can see her as a 53), I guess I am okay with the 53 grade as well, especially if we're going to hold to the highest standard.
Also, I think @TomB 's comment this coin is a great example of how difficult it can be to grade this series with respect to strike, wear, "cabinet friction" and the like is apropos, as this coin is deceptive both in hand and in the images. Experience helps here, for sure ... and so does the ability to see her in hand.
The sad part of @Pnies comment is as much as we tried not to go head-to-head on lots recently, we did both bid on this one. I had placed a proxy that held, and he went live, but didn't push too hard. It actually might end up in his collection at some point, but we'll make him wait at least another day!![>:) >:)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/naughty.png)

Great looking coin. Wish I could have gotten a few more of those “4799s” in that auction.
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
It is remarkable just now nice CBH's look in the 53 grade. In 2022 there was a thread for members to post AU53 coins. The CBH crowd came out in force and posted many beautiful examples (many of you commented here). I will use those and this one to gain a better understanding of luster or lack of that causes what looks like a 55 to be a 53.
