Lakewood = John Clapp (per annotations in the catalog shown below)
Marx = ?

Some of those coins are quite rare. Not sure about the abbreviations, but the coins, wow. All the gold Iturbides are off the chart. The only one I have even seen is the Guatemala gold, but all very rare.

My sincere apologies for failing to respond while this was on the darkside- I have nothing helpful. Perhaps Max Mehl's company could be one but I have no idea as to abbreviations and whether that would even work. As for Marx and the time frame... well I think you probably can guess where I would go with that but I have no information to suggest any of them were coin collectors.
