I have tons of penny boxes and i decided to search some since ive been finding good coins from this bank. A few rolls in i stumble upon a MS 1982 d large date that looked bronze. I weighed it and sure enough its 3.1 grams! What are they worth? And are they rare? This is the first non zinc one ive found.

First of all that is a Large Date.
Second, it is not worth much above what it says on the coin.
Oops ur right it is a large date. Im sry. Ive never found a bronze 1982 d yet so i thought it was the one. Ive changed the title of the post to reflect the correct info
@DanM55 I know the feeling about 1982 D "Small/Large" Date excitement. I have a box of apparently uncirculated 1982 D Lincoln cents that I was thinking were going to help me with buying a new HVAC unit after this blistering Phoenix summer. Turns out they do not have that desirable 3.1 gram weight.

One of my 1982 d bronzes has a small D mint mark does that matter? And regular bronze 1982s with no mint mark arent worth anything. pictured are all bronzes 1982s. One with a small Denver mint stamp one with a regular but both large dates. One is 1982 bronze no mint mark but small date. The one on the right is just another 1982 d large date bronze
None of those carry a premium, it is only the copper 1982D small date that has value
and you would be wasting your time looking for one.

"1982 d copper penny small date used condition. 3+ Grams."
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Except that is a Large Date, not a Small Date.
