CBH GTG (Sunday edition), 1828 0.104 (R4) **SLAB Posted**
My visit to @lkeigwin site yielded yet another beautiful coin from his collection. This is a great looking, R4 DM, 1828. I enjoy the look of this one a lot. Another Ex. L Keigwin coin (and his professional photos). Today marks 2 weeks since I went head first into the hole. In that time I have "met" so many great people here and on MyCollect. Your welcoming me to the Rabbit Hole has been appreciated.
Take a guess, all are welcome.

Nice Curl Base 2, No Knob!
Nice selection, but since I was involved in helping you decide, and know the grade on this one, I won't GTG.
I like the coin for the grade, and in fact think it might be a grade better (maybe). The surfaces seem lovely and the color looks pleasing and natural. I don't remember having seen the coin in hand, but it's quite possible I did once.
Two weekends ago, when you and I first started chatting via PM, I would have never imagined how far down the rabbit hole you would fall, or how much of a fever would take hold. I am pleased that you listened, asked questions, read up for yourself and reached out to some of the other crazy people you found here.
However I am thoroughly convinced now that either I pushed you straight into the deepest cavern area, or you just willing jumped into that abyss by yourself after finding yourself in the hole ... and that the fever has started to burn it's way into your soul.
This should be a warning for all who read, as if that is really the case, there is no getting out of the hole, and the fever etches itself in your consciousness such that there really is no recovery. God save us all!

I'm just passing by to say hello.
Nice newp.
ahh what da heck, 53 !!
Ugh!,,,!!!!😂
Another nice CBH, for sure!
AU 50-53.
First and foremost, I have no clue what I'm doing with these but ill try once more. It seems like the coin has 55 luster, but 50 wear, so I'll split the difference and go 53.

Looks like all the guesses are in. Much closer to the given grade on this one (though I believe they are one level off). In hand it looks like a 53 all day.
I like the look of the two 1828's posted but really like the look of the two 1834's and 1836 that I picked up. Something about nice even steel gray toning with luster and almost proof like surfaces. Yes please....

My guess was AU-53. Maybe it netted for lacking original skin? It looks a little bright but it has a good strike.
