1910 QE Indian with a 30 degree or so rotated die? Any added value?

1915 5$ Indian with strike thru error? Any added value?

Strike through errors can lower the value as well as raise it.

A die rotation is likely a plus but it depends on how common it is, the underlying coin value, etc.

I dont know about the rotation on your gold QE, but in general rotations of 90 to 180 degrees is where the money is on most coins with die rotations.

Edit to correct the auto correct.

Why are pictures of both sides needed?
A picture of the strike-through side should suffice for that coin and one of either side of the die rotated example should do the job for it.

Actually, only a pic of the strike thru would be needed. Right?

For the strike through, pictures of both sides will help eliminate PMD as a cause.

How could you tell it's a rotated die if only viewing one side in a photo I could place a coin at any angle and say it's a rotated die to the person viewing that photo. You would need to set up some kind of alignment tool as shown in this Pic from a previous thread on here to show the rotation from side to side IMO

The OP already said it was rotated 30 degrees. I took him at his word that he was being truthful.

    Understandable.

Its on a 1910 MS coin... the die rotation is minimal 30% maybe a bit less. I did not think there was a premium but am not real familiar with gold "errors."

The strike through is on a 1915 5$ it is listed on the holder but it seems detracting. Was wondering on broader market thought.

Thank you all for the feedback.

    Appreciate it

A nasty scratch on the other side would render the question of how the strike-thru affects the value moot.
