Labor day...post something you worked hard for!

Always nice to reflect on our hard work through the years on Labor Day. Please post something you've got through hard work and dedication!
This is probably my most expensive piece in the collection:
l
It is a Civil War token struck over a Seated Liberty Quarter once owned by T. Harrison Garrett.
I missed it when it first appeared at auction (only the 2nd time in 140 years!) But I was able to buy it shortly after from a dealer at a slight premium. It's just a superb piece.

I believe this one is my most expensive, worked hard for it. It’s the “No Drapery” Type

Great example @DCW !! Just wonderful!!
Nice 1839 @Mr_Spud
.
I worked pretty hard to understand what I was looking at, as well as to be able to afford this one.

O-107a (107.3), R5; ex-Link, ex-Frederick. A soft golden-grey patina with patches of russet and aqua-blue graces full cartwheel luster and mark-free surfaces.
From Sheridan Downey's MB#52, Lot#73, where it was described (partially) as; " ... It was undoubtedly influenced by the worn, clashed dies and the presence of a small die chip on Liberty’s nose. Full cartwheel luster and mark-free surfaces support the AU 58 designation. Russ Logan quaintly referred to this intermediate die state as the one with “a mouse on the nose.” Logan owned one of two known 1814 platinum half-dollars, Judd 44. They were struck from the O.107 die pair. Since they do NOT have a mouse on the nose (or a die break between 81 of the date) we know that they were struck in 1814 at the Mint, not pieces de caprice, struck elsewhere from discarded dies."
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

I do not have very many "really" expensive coins, I do not have the financial ability to buy most of the amazing coins we see posted here. My now complete 09-58 Lincoln date and mintmark set is what I labored hard to buy, you can click the link in my sig line for that. As a single coin, well this new addition from the recent Stacks Fairmont sale is high on the list for me. Photos curtesy of Stacks.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Fortunately I've never had to stretch to buy a coin I wanted. Also, I've never wanted to spend more than I can afford with ease. Just a hobby for me, not a business.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

vegas baby!
Doesn't have to be an expensive piece, lads. Could just be something you looked hard to find. Or spent years trying to pry it from another collection. Or scoured many bourse tables to cherry pick a rare variety.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
It's the labor in Labor Day that matters

I spent many hours looking at seated dollars before this one came along with the right character and originality.

@edwardjulio beautiful ground. What part of the country is it?

As an eleven year old I worked hard for this one. 2 weeks of lawn mowing to get the cash--and even harder for me, 3 weeks with no Saturday afternoon movie matinees!

Wanted one for years! Mortgage, kids, college educations, weddings and life kept getting in my way. Finally pulled the trigger some years ago. Love the sunny Sunday drives to local shows. Even if I don't pick up any coins, the drive is always part of the fun!
Keep on keeping on all!

A very nice large home. Plenty of room for coins.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I know this is not a coin, but she almost died driving a school bus last year. This was the happiest day of my life!![]And you have no idea how hard I worked to make this happen!.(https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/ba/l2fsafqep239.jpg "")
Home, wife, kids, cars, work, all four letter words. I'm glad you got picked it up
I don't disagree that you worked hard to get that, but it is an investment - several of us surely own coins struck on that machine.
Thank you both for the kind words.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

I've been working pretty hard to find an 1884-CC Morgan between VF35 and AU50, and have yet to feel the satisfaction of a job well done. Lol!
I check here, eBay, Heritage, Great Collections, Collectors Corner at least once an hour during my waking hours every single day, as well as Googling at least once a day. I've even resorted to sending messages to people who have one listed in their PCGS registry.
It'll be a happy day when I finally complete my circulated Carson City Morgan set with this specimen. Until then, I'll keep plugging along. After all, the length of my search is miniscule compared to what most here have endured.

I have spent about 25 years looking for a raw 1957 proof nickel with warrants a Cameo designation. I found one years ago in an OGP set that IMO warrants a CAM, however it is toned on both sides. Last year PCGS said PF67 only when it was submitted for grading (See True View below).
Earlier this year, within a span of about 2 weeks I found two additional raw untoned 1957 proof nickels at a local show (in a Capital holder) and at a local shop (in an OGP set) that IMO both warrant a CAM designation. Both have deeply mirrored fields and fully frosted devices on both sides of the coins. Those are two nickels are currently at PCGS for grading.
Hope springs eternal.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Always wanted a super high grade steelie...![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)
Didn't quite know what that meant over 40 years ago when I was around 10 years old...
Some years ago, I got one
