1963 Roger Maris Review…Roger in his New Holder!

Thankfully…I did not strike out . My 1963 Roger Maris bumped a half grade to a PSA-9! I’m very happy for that…1 for 3 on the reviews.
Interestingly…I originally submitted the card in a Beckett holder as a BVG-9….but it crossed as a PSA-8.5. It seems best to submit raw, not in another TPG slab.
The ‘63 Maris is very deserving of a PSA-9: corners are mint with colored corners on the nameplate green to the tips under a loupe, well centered, eye-popping color and no print issues including no print fish eyes in green nameplate or red circle.
I will post a scan on this thread when I have it in hand.

Nice!
Very nice Monty. Congrats.
GREAT!
Would you have had better success doing 3 separate reviews spread out, rather than submitting 3 at once?
Of course it shouldn't matter, but the idea of going 3 for 3 seems more unlikely.
I thought the 1961 Mantle had the best chance to bump followed by the 1963 Maris.
awesome. maris in a 9 is off the charts. best set of the 60's.
Congrats on the bump - those are hard to come by these days.

I'm Jones'ing over here. Post a scan of that bad boy. Now please. Congrats on the review.
1963 Roger Maris arrived today (9/7)...here are the scans.
In this case, I wish that they would put a new serial number on the card. The default assumption is that you reholdered a card graded from years ago, rather than submitted a card that passed the scrutiny of 2023 grading standards.
Well deserved grade, congrats
If the review submitter is the same person as the original submitter, and the grade gets bumped, does PSA refund the original grading fee since they are admitting it was graded incorrectly the first time?
Should of been a 9 from day one
BEAUTIFUL!
Beatiful card!
Congrats on the bump. The Mantle not bumping is puzzling to me.
Great card. My favorite Maris. You can see the stress of being Roger Maris in his eyes. Not quite a 1000 mile stare, but pretty close.
