Finally came across a trout for a price I was willing to pay. I want to find a judge at a price I want next.
A couple of fantastic Moss cards. I usually stay away from authentic as I would rather the card have a grade. After chatting with the seller I decided to pick it up anyway. I am a big fan of the Crusade Golds.
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards
One of the tougher cards in a generally tough set landed today. It’s another card that is a little bit miscut for my taste that I could likely fix but being it’s already slabbed in my desired holder, I’ll probably just leave it be.

Very hard to find and in great condition as well.
I love the 60s bottle caps and you’re right that the root beer is very tough. Congrats on a great pickup!
A pretty special grab for me arrived today. As some of you active board readers may know, I'm in pursuit of the 1959 Bazooka Baseball set. I'm not going to wax poetic about the set at this time, though one certainly could for a wide variety of reasons. But, simply put, any card from the twenty three card set is a pretty tough find. And one particular subject actually has two cards, that being the late, great Henry Louis Aaron. The once and future home run king is in his 6th season in 1959 and already a well established star. The "two card" explanation is rooted in the fact that his name plate comes in both white and yellow print, with yellow at least appearing to be around twice as hard to find. As for the card itself, it's got a lot of charm despite the over zealous cut. First, it arrived more "full" than the pictures had indicated, and to a vast degree, though it is quite obviously missing its border and now appears to be more of a "full bleed" card. Second, the crease which looked from photos to pretty much destroy the eye appeal of the card is in reality pretty faint (below is an un altered high resolution scan) and blends in so as to not totally mar his face, too, to some degree (and the PSA holder should only serve to improve this flaw's actual appearance to the eye). Lastly, it came a very reasonable price and gets me to 10/23!!! May I present to you fine people a rare and beautiful piece of vintage cardboard:
1959 Bazooka Hand Cut - Hank Aaron - Name in Yellow
Just because I, myself, can be prone to hyperbole, I wanted to offer the scan below to give a more exacting idea of the card's size. It is actually a scan of two 1959 Bazooka cards, whereby I tried to overlay the Aaron card and generate an approximate match on the name plate positions to see how short of the borders the card really is:

You may as well give it a "clean-up" trim since it is already going to be "auth"....would REALLY improve the eye appeal IMHO...great score!! - CONGRATS

First off, thank you! Second, I have already been playing around with some “digital” cuts; that notch on the right can’t really be eliminated but cleaner borders would definitely improve the overall aesthetic, I agree:

Here is my latest acquisition. After selling my 1954 Mr. Cub RC PSA-8 to a board member a few years ago...I decided that I needed his 2nd year card to soften the loss. Even though I am still purchasing, I have decided to consign 28 cards to Heritage Auction for its January 2024 Winter Auction. Anyway...here are the scans of my 1955 Ernie Banks PSA-8.5:
A controversial player in his time who had a lot of talent! Highly touted junior player who played in my area (Niagara Falls/St Catharines) carved out a pretty nice career.
Well, how's he look? That's about the best I can do; don't want it to be too skinny. This card is still basically just missing having the border, even post shave, but it's overall appearance it more rectangular and cleaner with a sharper overall look. At least I hope so. Anyhow, thanks for the suggestion, fellas...

I've been remarkably focused for the past 3 years finishing off my favorite player and autographed sets. 2 of 3 pics are towards my autographed 1990-91 Score Hockey set. Incredibly, I have been working on this set for 31 YEARS. I started this back in 1992! The other card goes to my Derek Sanderson autographed set. It's tough finding cards that I don't have already so always nice to pick one up here and there.
One of my favorite sets of the 90's, Skybox E-X 2000! This card has a transparent background which gives the clouds some depth. Griffey and the card border are raised on that background,
I stopped at the Philly Show yesterday and ended up adding a big card from my wantlist. My plan was to just do submissions, but when PSA wasn't there, I ended up walking the floor. Glad I did.

Fantastic item!!!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!

So do I. Those cards are such a mess of out-of-focus photos, miscutting, tilting and off-centering that seeing a 10 is like seeing a UFO.
I have a fondness for that run even though they look like they were put together in someone's basement with the lights off and while they were drunk.
Many of the best experiences of my life occurred under these exact circumstances so maybe it’s not that improbable, after all…

Is the top of the card narrower than the bottom?
The left edge appears a little wavy.
Cool idea for a Showcase.

One for the registry, crappy photo but nice card:
you are correct, this is a 72 not 73. The 73 proofs have the color backgrounds.
