What is supposed to be special about it?
He thinks the mint included an image of a spaceship on Monticello.![:# :#](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/grimace.png)

Your previous thread about this coin was sufficient. https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1094390/spaceship-error-on-it#latest

Throw it on ebay and hope.
It's kind of a funny die chip. But I wouldn't expect big money
PCSG graded it a ms64FS there is PMD which Happened to look like a flying saucer on reverse front of pillar.
Now we know the source of all those UFOs!![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Are you claiming it is PMD or an error?
On your other thread you say it is an error but here you say it is damage.
was asking and getting info not sure the why i was asking. i thought error but some told me its listed as pmd
they don't tell you why unless you've got great pull. great pull.
but why bother them when everyone is telling you it's worthless damage
Here is the REAL flying-saucer/Monticello coin (1972-D):
i'm 50/50 on whether that new ufo nickel has it all together
I Have a good offer from a fellow friend and collector, well I think. That's why just making sure, well in my mind and his think the coins mistake or what ever it is, turned out looking like a spaceship and cool as hell.
The whole slab.
What difference does it make?

None
do you understand what PMD is? it looks as struck to me.
Agree. It appears to be raised. Probably a little die chip.
I think it means something happened after the the strike.
correct, Post Mint Damage. Usually hits, scrapes, wear ..... If it was an indent on the die before the strike, the area would be raised. If you have multiples of the same thing, it is likely a variety on the die before struck.
Proof enough for me... PCGS certified this one as MS64FS. I'm told the FS stands for flying saucer.

FS- Dictation mark from what i read on pcgs guide and have been told means Full steps.
fish1967, I believe mark_dak was being sarcastic. He most assuredly knows what fs means.
