1930 SLQ in an old PCI Holder

The luster on this coin is just booming. What do you think?
This is a really old holder and unfortunately has some scratching that is just hard to polish out.

Very pretty coin, when putting together my 1930 year set I found that this date is often found with booming luster.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Crack it and submit it to PCGS or CACG once that latter opens to the public.
What grade did they give it?
I like it. It does appear to have very good luster and, as has been stated already, this date tends to come nice. Regardless, it appears to be a great coin.

I am grateful the days of anything shown in a PCI holder being met with disdain are over. It is now more about the coin- as it should have been.

I have a 65 in PCGS plastic that doesn't look this good.
I am shocked it hasn't toned more in that holder, as they are known to turn silver coins varying shades of purple and rust orange. I love it as is but for longer term preservation it's not a bad thought to get it into another holder, whether here or across the street.

Here's another I have in a PCI holder that has the exact attribute you've described - purple, rust, orange.
Nice coin, Looks to be graded about right.
Curious what the grade is on the 1919?
Looks like FH to me..
Nice SLQ. If you decide to send it in DO NOT crack it out. Send it in its old PCI holder and ask to be graded as raw.
Most of the time it applies to only toned coins but I would still send it in the holder and and ask to be. graded as raw, not crossover.............my 2 cents

From the photos, it's much better than a 63. Original color, not dipped, very few marks. Kinda like it in the original holder, despite the hairline scratches on the holder.
I may be an outlier, but I always thought PCI was better than people gave them credit for.

Nice quarter. I think it would get at least a 63 from PCGS.
I too think it will upgrade.
wonderful coin- I see the decision submit to another service as a difficult one-

It is in an old PCI AU55 no full head holder. I consider it under-graded. There's a whole discussion of the coin here:
