Added Another GSA CC Hardpack

LeeBoneLeeBone Posts: 4,492 ✭✭✭✭✭

Up to 7 CC Dates in the GSA Hardpacks.
Want to have them ungraded which is tougher to find more and more.
My latest addition is the 78-CC.
Looks to be a textbook 63 to me.

Congrats! My favorite CC year. I have a 78-cc as a pocket piece.

7 down, then 3 to go?
Or are you going to do some major varieties?
    Have fun on the others.

I didn't collect GSA when doing the Morgans but somehow I wound up with a couple dozen :o (ungraded). Sold all but one of each date (7 also now) that I had when the prices were up.

MS64 and higher for the '79, '90 and '91 are difficult to find and/or expensive certainly in PCGS.

'78 in all grades is the most obtainable and least expensive of the four that most collectors struggle with in the basic 10 set.

Wish you Good luck in your endeavor!

Congratulations, and good luck on your quest! I'm sort of on the opposite end of the CC Morgan spectrum. I'm attempting to acquire all 13 years in circulated grades VF35 or higher. Some of those are turning out to be pretty hard to track down due to all the GSA's. Lol

    Thanks for the comments :)

Yeah, the last 3 are tough ($)...
    79, 90, 91 :/

No rush, as I still have my complete 97 coin Morgan Set in PCGS holders. This is just something else to keep me going :#

Nice coin. I had a call earlier in the year from the daughter of a late former friend who ran the chess instruction at the YMCA in the 70s of a group of GSA dollars including an 1879cc that was probably an MS63. I went over the coins with them, likely market and what I'd pay, near GS for these. They kept looking around for offers.
