Seem a lot of coins working in restaurants but this one….

What’s going on w this quarter? Bulging out in some spots, letters stamped that have be no business being in the quarter, pock-marks SC scattered throughout…what should I being looking closer at/trying to photograph?!

You photographed it fine. Your coin is damaged from circulation. What happened to it? You can use your imagination. Whatever you say works for me.

Looks like it may have been in a fire but we need a few more pics to be sure.

Looks like it was on/in the ground, got some corrosion.
Also got hit by a few objects.
It can be a rough experience for a coin, outside of the more protected spots like the till, wallet, change jar, etc.

Your coin has been in a fire which has caused the bubbling.
In the future, one good cropped picture of each side and a
closeup if necessary is all that is required.
Just damage.

I was going to say heavy corrosion but, yes, fire victim seems more likely.

It was in fire or was dug out of the ground. If from the ground, it's corrosion.
The "bulging" indicates high heat so I agree with the fire assessment.
